Jennie Garth is Melody (Mel), a high-powered executive type who doesn’t remember how to have fun. Her whole life is all about control and it works for her. Melody thinks the best way to do things is her way – even if it means twisting arms in her own home town to get things to go her way. Naturally, this movie forces her to let go and admit what she really wants. Save Now, the big box store Mel works for, is basically a pseudo-WalMart, only in this movie the owner of the company is also a woman and turns out to not be as terrible as we thought.

The plot is medium-ok. Cameron Mathison (Carter) is handsome and apparently really enjoys doing Christmas movies. He’s in roughly 100 of them. I will try to watch them all. The acting is ok. I like seeing Jennie Garth in any non-90210 role. There are some other recognizable TV movie actors that do solid work. Really, this is a solid holiday movie. It’s not overly religious, which I strongly prefer, but it’s not going to blow you away or get the waterworks going.

I have watched Holidaze before and I will watch it again. 2013 was a pretty good year for holiday movies – I wonder what the deal is with that?
