You should know: this is not really a Christmas movie. It’s an indie romantic comedy and a not-that-great one at that. But as a far as Christmas movies go, it’s not bad! Bratty young couple decide to pretend to be together through NYE because everyone knows it sucks to be single around the holidays. Chloe is too silly and Jeff is too serious – can they learn to meet in the middle and appreciate their differences?! I BET YOU CAN’T GUESS WHAT HAPPENS.
But they’re cute, somehow. They are both a little annoying, so I think in the end they really deserve one another. If they end up together, that is. Maybe they don’t. You could never guess.
I laughed out loud at least five times. I thought about tearing up when things got sad. It made me look fondly at my husband and sigh. So really, all told, a successful 90-minutes.
